In 2019, we were approached by Father John Bashobora, a charismatic Catholic priest from Uganda well known for his dedication to helping poor populations in Uganda—especially children by providing education, healthcare, and shelter.
Moved by the growing number of abandoned infants, Father Bashobora asked us to help fund a bold new vision: a Childrens Village—a safe, nurturing home for 200 orphaned children.
The bishop and archdiocese approved approved plans and donated land for a community with:
The Divine Mercy Children’s Village has witnessed miracles that show the power of mercy and the resilience of the human spirit.
A baby without an incubator:
One day, a tiny newborn girl was brought to Father Bashobora’s hospital. With no incubator available, the staff filled bags with hot water to keep her warm — praying she would survive.
Today, she is a healthy, joyful teenager, full of gratitude and faith.
A baby found in a garbage bag:
Another newborn was discovered inside a garbage bag — found because two dogs sensed movement.
Through God’s providence and the love of compassionate people, the infant survived and now grows in safety, surrounded by care.
The Divine Mercy Children’s Village exists today because compassionate people chose to act — and because Global Good Samaritans committment to funding and supporting the vision of Father John Bashobora.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of compassionate donors like you, 9 out of 10 homes in the Children’s Village are now complete. Each house is filled with laughter, learning, and the warmth of a loving caregiver—offering 180 orphaned children a safe, nurturing place to grow.
A cafeteria and kitchen where shared meals are prepared daily.
A study hall where children learn, dream, and discover their God-given talents

To truly make this village a place of healing and hope, we need your help to build the final pieces:
These spaces will transform the Children’s Village from a shelter into a true home—a place where every child can thrive in body, mind, and spirit.
