Ayos was originally founded as a settlement for people affected by leprosy. To this day, it remains a place where many families struggle with daily hardship and where access to education is often uncertain.
The House of Mercy is a small orphanage lovingly led by Catherine, who has devoted her life to caring for children who have nowhere else to turn. Having no family of her own, she has made these children her family—offering them safety, stability, and unwavering love.
Today, the House of Mercy is home to 27 children, girls and boys ages 3 to 18. Many have lost their parents; others have been abandoned or rejected by their families.
The House of Mercy is more than a shelter—it is a family, a place of hope, and the beginning of a brighter future.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to purchase 30 goats for the orphanage in Ayos, Cameroon, run by the Sisters of Divine Providence.
The project supports 25 girls ages 2 to 18, who live at the orphanage and rely daily on access to nutritious and reliable food sources.

In Ayos, Cameroon, Global Good Samaritans built a home that changed everything. Three siblings, once separated after losing their parents, were reunited through the extraordinary generosity of a single donor. What began as a safe haven for them has now grown into a welcoming refuge for other abandoned and vulnerable children in the community.

In Cameroon, we support the Pauline Father’s mission in Ayos, where the fathers run a school for about 1,000 children from the local poverty-stricken families. We have sponsored one year of education for 73 children of the poorest families, who can’t afford tuition.
