In 2019, we were approached by Father John Bashobora, a charismatic Catholic priest from Uganda well known for his dedication to helping poor populations in Uganda—especially children by providing education, healthcare, and shelter.
Moved by the growing number of abandoned infants, Father Bashobora asked us to help fund a bold new vision: a Childrens Village—a safe, nurturing home for 200 orphaned children.
Plans for the village were approved by the local bishop and the land generously donated by the archdiocese.

Often, when a child loses their parents to malaria, AIDS, or other preventable diseases, local authorities bring them to Father Bashobora to protect them from the growing threat of human trafficking. In other heartbreaking cases, newborns are abandoned due to extreme poverty and hunger—or worse, left to die.
One such child was a tiny baby girl, born prematurely and discarded in a latrine after a failed abortion attempt at six months. Miraculously, she was found alive and rushed to Father Bashobora’s hospital. With no incubators available, the staff used bags filled with hot water to keep her alive. Today, she is a thriving, brilliant teenager—living proof of what love and care can do.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of compassionate donors like you, 9 out of 10 homes in the Children’s Village are now complete. Each house is filled with laughter, learning, and the warmth of a loving caregiver—offering 180 orphaned children a safe, nurturing place to grow.
To truly make this village a place of healing and hope, we need your help to build the final pieces:
These spaces will transform the Children’s Village from a shelter into a true home—a place where every child can thrive in body, mind, and spirit.
